Are these boots truly waterproof, customer comments indicate they are not waterproof?
Answer: I don't think any shoe is truly 100% waterproof unless you are wearing muck boots or the old style black rubber barn boots. My husband is happy with these and hasn't said anything about getting wet feet so I would say in normal circumstances they are - but probably best considered water-resistant. -

Seem a little tight. Will they stretch out some?
Answer: I have a medium width foot (width at the widest part of the foot 10.5 cm.). In itself, size 9,5 is absolutely comfortable in the part of the width. At the beginning they stretch out some. But if you always buy only wide shoes, then first You should try on 9.5 wide. -

How breathable are these boots? I have another brand of waterproof boots and my feet sweat so much they get wet, wrinkly, and smelly by day's end.
Answer: My husband loves these boots, but says that sometimes his feet do get sweaty. Don't know if hat helps, but they are great boots. -

What is the difference between size 9.5 and 9.5 wide boots?
Answer: I have a medium width foot. I have been buying and wearing this 9.5 Moab Mid for 10 years (3 purchases). But 9.5 wide never took. In itself, size 9,5 is absolutely comfortable in the part of the width. But if you always buy only wide shoes, then first You should try on 9.5 wide. -

Why do prices vary so much by size? The size I wear is $41 more than a half size smaller and $45 more than a full size larger.
Answer: Prices increase due to the size you wear in some instances. -
Question:
Is this one same as moab 3 waterproof?
Answer: No. This one has a Goretex waterproof lining. The merrill "waterproof" version has a Merrill proprietary lining. -
Question:
Are these the gtx (gore-tex) version? product description doesn't say
Answer: Yes, it is. GTX stands for Gore-tex. In addition, After I ordered and took delivery of the boot. There is a small label on the outer side of each boot, just below the ankle, that states it's Gore-tex. -
Question:
I am looking for the 2022 or newer version of this shoe. Is this one a 2022 or 2023?
Answer: Merrell doesn't release shoe "versions" by year, but by numbered versions. They released the Moab, Moab 2 and now the Moab 3, which is their current version, but released 2 years ago. No information on Moab 4 or when that will come out if ever. I've had all version and there is no difference on tread, comfort or materials used. The only difference is the outer design, which is hardly noticeable. If you find a pair of Moabs (first version), it's just as good as the latest Moab 3.
