It features a 5.4 mm diameter pre-polarized condenser element with a vertical diaphragm, and a unique Double Vent Protection System, making it highly resistant to humidity and sweat. The Kevlar-reinforced cable relief is built to endure the constant twists, bends, and pulls that come with everyday use in challenging environments. The d:screet Core 4060 Microphone offers an exceptional omnidirectional polar pattern, making it capable of picking up sound from all directions. This feature, coupled with its high sensitivity, makes it an ideal choice for capturing sound from multiple sources or from a distance. The acoustic response of this microphone can be modified by selecting the correct grid. Each microphone comes with two anodized stainless steel grids, which are tough, scratch-resistant, and easy to clean. The pre-fitted Soft Boost Grid provides a 3 dB soft boost at 8-20 kHz, while the High Boost Grid introduces a 10 dB soft boost around 12 kHz. This microphone is not just small in size but also mighty in flexibility. It doesn't need to be aimed directly at the sound source to achieve quality pickup, making it less sensitive to handling noise as well as pop and wind noise. It's especially suited for capturing speech in all its nuances and can be used to close-mike a wide range of instruments. The d:screet Core 4060 Microphone can handle sound pressure levels up to 134 dB before clipping occurs, making it well suited for applications where the sound source is more remote or damped.
