The CKLau 8x2 Multi-View HDMI Split KVM Switch has garnered a mixed reception among users, highlighting both its versatility and certain issue-prone features. Customers frequently applaud its ability to support various configurations, making it a valuable asset for more complex computer setups, including dual and multiple monitors. Users appreciate its design, noting that the layout keeps cables organized and helps maintain a tidy workspace. However, several critical concerns taint the overall positive impression. Reports of defective video outputs have surfaced, with some users experiencing static noise instead of a clear video signal. Additionally, there have been complaints about not meeting specifications in the manual; specifically, the requirement for both VGA and HDMI connections was not clearly listed, leaving some users frustrated. Furthermore, the switch's handling of resolutions is problematic; many have encountered issues toggling between resolutions via the EDID button, leading to excessively small text for certain applications. Audio output is another pain point, as it appears the switch fails to transmit sound over HDMI, which has led to confusion and dissatisfaction among users. Users also reported unreliable behavior with their keyboards and mice when switching computers. In summary, while the CKLau KVM switch excels in functionality for multiple devices and offers a clean setup, users should be wary of potential technical drawbacks, especially concerning video quality and audio transmission. **
