Answer: With a foam mattress, I had to add additional cross beams to provide adequate support. Box springs or additional cross beams will be necessary to support a mattress. -

Has anyone recently tried these to convert a delta canton bed to a full? i hear mixed things and am wondering before we purchase! thank you!
Answer: I don't have one but I can say this. I purchased a crib and baby furniture from delta, had a problem worked with their customer service and they were great resolved it beyond my expectations. I would recommend delta highly. -

Do you need this conversion kit or can you use a regular metal frame to attach the headboard and footboard?
Answer: If you are very handy you probably could. This was very easy for me to install and has worked perfectly. I think the issue would be aligning the holes and I don’t know if drilling new holes into this would be a good idea. -

When converted to a full bed, can you only have a headboard or do you have to have footboard too?

Will a full amatress fit alone or do you need the box spring also?
Answer: Definitely need a box spring and they are hard to fit. I had to drill my own holes and get extra L brackets to make it stable. -

Will the crib(converted) and siderails support an adult if we were going to use this for when family visits?
Answer: We have used it for adult visitors and never had any issues.
