This acid dissolves the bonds between the dead skin cells, and these cells flake off both on the surface of the skin and inside the pores. As skin cell turnover increases, clogged debris is dissolved, hyperpigmented skin cells are exfoliated, and the skin cell turnover stimulates the body to produce collagen and elastin.
