How long do they take to break down in the compost bin?
Answer: These bags are 100% compostable for industrial and home and backyard composting. -
Question:
What are they made out of? Are they made in China?
Answer: They are made from corn starch. They are approved by BPI for Industrial composting and by VINCOTTE for HOME and backyard composting. Our current packaging is already upgraded with both certificates. -
Question:
Will these decompose in a landfill?
Answer: Yes, these will decompose in the landfill. Do not overfill the bag to avoid tearing. -
Question:
Do these have any scents or fragrances or odor neutralizing chemicals on them?
Answer: I don't smell any scents/odors with these bags. I don't believe there are any chemicals on them. My hands never feel greasy or have any odor on them after touching the bags. -
Question:
Has anyone used these in a luggable loo type toilet system?
Answer: I have never used them that way, but I can confirm that they are well-made and sturdy. I believe they will hold up for you with sawdust and double bagged. -
Question:
What is the shelf life of these bags?
Answer: The bags may become more fragile after several months. Some users have experienced ripping halfway down one side. The bags can feel sticky after a week's use. -
Question:
Can I use these for regular trash too? How much seepage occurs with wet material?
Answer: They are made of biodegradable/compostable material and can be used for trash. They are weaker compared to regular trash bags, but as long as you don't pack the bin with heavy wet things, there should be no issue with seepage. -
Question:
What is the difference between the green and brown bags?
Answer: I'm not familiar with brown bags. I have green bags and they are large, sturdy, and compostable. -
Question:
If there are 30, how can they be $0.14 each?
Answer: The pricing may not be accurate or there could be a mistake in the math calculations.
