Nutritionist's Take
The Torq Gel pack, comprising 15 individual servings, is primarily designed for athletes and active individuals needing a quick source of carbohydrates during endurance activities. It generally contains a blend of simple and complex carbohydrates, helping to replenish glycogen stores and sustain energy levels. Nutritionists appreciate the inclusion of electrolytes to aid hydration, which is essential during prolonged physical exertion. However, potential drawbacks include its high sugar content, which might not be suitable for those managing blood sugar levels or on low-carb diets. Ingredient quality can vary, so it’s recommended to check for the presence of artificial additives or allergens. Overall, while Torq Gel can be beneficial for athletes, consumers not engaged in intensive physical activity should approach it cautiously, considering it primarily as a performance supplement rather than a general health food.
TORQ Chews & Gels TQNGRC Editorial Review
TORQ Gel - Pack of 15 offers a specially formulated blend of 2:1 maltodextrin and fructose, designed for athletes who need quick energy during workouts or races. With flavors like Rhubarb & Custard, it provides a mildly sweet taste and contains five essential electrolytes to keep you hydrated. Users have noted that while the gels go down smoothly and are gentle on the stomach, not every runner finds them suitable, leading some to suggest trying them before committing to a larger purchase. Overall, they make a great companion for cyclists and long-distance runners seeking a reliable source of energy.
