How does the air filter connect mine came with a pro guard 7 the connection part is like 7 inches wide I need a 4 inch primo filter?
Answer: The filter goes into the filter housing with the cone-shaped filter element open end then sliding over the intake tube which is connected to the intake manifold. The large hose clamp secures the filter element to the intake tube and holds the intake tube into the Volant housing. Do I need to put oil on it filter?
Answer: No, you do not. It is a lifetime filter that doesn't need oil to work properly. By putting oil on a filter, it restricts the amount of airflow, and with a Diesel, you need as much unrestricted, cool air as you can get. I love mine.
