Powermaster 9050 Starter (Ford Diesel6.9/7.3L 85-94)

The Powermaster 9050 Starter for Ford Diesel engines from 1985 to 1994 has received overwhelmingly positive feedback from users, particularly for its performance in enhancing starting speed and reliability. Customers report significant improvements when replacing their old starters, noting that the Powermaster 9050 allows engines to crank much faster, resulting in quicker starts even in colder weather. Many users described their engines turning over smoothly at impressive speeds, with some reporting that their vehicles started almost immediately after turning the key. Installation challenges were a common theme in the reviews, particularly concerning access to the top bolt, which proved difficult to tighten properly. Some customers suggested using alternative bolts or extensions to help overcome this challenge. Despite these minor installation hurdles, users were generally pleased with the durability and performance of the starter, often mentioning that it looked different yet effective, and was superior to previous starters they had used. This starter has effectively resolved various issues, such as slow cranking and "hot start" problems that other components, like the injection pump, had been incorrectly suspected of causing. While there were some comments regarding compatibility with specific vehicle models, overall, customers seem to be ecstatic with the performance enhancement this starter provides. **
