What are the dimensions of the 25 Oversize Plastic Outersleeves?

The 25 oversize plastic outersleeves are designed to accommodate vinyl records and box sets that measure up to 34 inches in thickness. This means they provide ample space for a variety of vinyl collections, whether you're protecting single albums or larger compilations. This extra thickness is crucial for collectors who want to ensure their valuable records are safeguarded against dust, dirt, and tearing.

What makes these outersleeves high clarity?

These outersleeves are made from high clarity plastic, meaning they offer excellent transparency and clarity. This feature is particularly important for vinyl record collectors since it allows you to view cover art and labels without removing the sleeve. The high clarity also enhances the aesthetic appeal of your collection while providing protection from scratches and environmental elements.

Can these outersleeves fit standard 12-inch vinyl records?

Yes, these oversize outersleeves are specifically designed to fit standard 12-inch vinyl records. They provide a snug yet protective fit, which is essential for keeping your records safe from dust and scratches. Additionally, they’re versatile enough for box sets that include multiple albums, ensuring that your entire collection is well-protected.

How do I clean these plastic outersleeves?

Cleaning the plastic outersleeves is simple and straightforward. To maintain their clarity, use a soft, lint-free cloth with a mild detergent or window cleaner. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or scrubbers that might scratch the plastic. Regular maintenance will help keep your collection looking fresh and new.

Are these sleeves acid-free and archival safe?

The 25 oversize plastic outersleeves are designed to be archival safe and acid-free, which means they won’t damage your vinyl records over time. Acidic materials can cause deterioration and yellowing, so using acid-free products is vital for long-term preservation. This ensures that your collection remains in pristine condition for years to come.

Can I use these outersleeves with other media formats?

While these outersleeves are specifically designed for 12-inch vinyl records and box sets, they can also be used with other media formats that fit within the same dimensions. This includes certain types of printed products, such as oversized booklets or art prints, making them a versatile option for collectors looking to protect various items.

How thick is the material used for these outersleeves?

The material used for these outersleeves is thick enough to offer significant protection against wear and tear, though the exact thickness specification can vary slightly based on manufacturing standards. The thickness ensures they are durable yet flexible, allowing for easy placement and removal of records without risking damage.

Do these outersleeves have side openings for easy access?

Square Deal Recordings & Supplies Media Storage Sleeves Editorial Review

In reviewing the customer experiences surrounding this product, it becomes clear that while many users appreciate the quality and functionality of these sleeves, there are notable discrepancies in expectations. A significant portion of feedback highlights that the sleeves excel at accommodating thicker LPs, including double and triple LPs, and that they fit well with specific record brands like Rhino HiFi. Customers express satisfaction in finding sleeves that perfectly cater to their needs for high-quality outer covers, with multiple reviews mentioning the sleeves as being ideal for four-disc box sets. However, this positive reception is undermined by a segment of users who have experienced disappointment. Some customers report that the sleeves are not oversized as advertised, resulting in functionalities that fall short of their original claims. These users have highlighted issues with the sizing, stating that the sleeves can only fit standard gatefold jackets, which conflicts with the marketing suggesting they would fit larger formats. This lack of Consistency in quality and sizing has led to frustrations among those who expected more accommodating options. In summary, while the product has been praised for its quality and suitability for certain LP sizes, it has not met the sizing expectations set by its description, leaving some customers feeling misled. **
