The Mammafong flat bottom wok is a handcrafted carbon steel wok made of 16 gauge commercial grade steel which is ideal for stir-frying, sauteing and noodle dishes. The wok is made of thick base, and thin wall which helps to distribute heat evenly as well as improve heat distribution. There were some issues reported with scratches on the pan when received but this is because they are hand hammered. Scratches that penetrate the base or edges of the pan should not to be there. The product comes with a shipping coating that is difficult to remove so seasoning with oil afterwards is recommended.
