Customer Questions & Answers

Question:
My netgear wn3000rp keeps disconnecting and now i can’t connect at all. did i buy junk? any help would be apreciated
Answer: I live in a rural area, and did experience disconnects. This was attributed to voltage fluctuation. Since the power supply was upgraded 2 years ago I have not had a problem. Have you asked the Help Desk? -
Question:
I currently have a netgear 3000 rp booster. it's getting old. can i get a new one and just replace of the old one in with no set up?
Answer: No, as the settings are stored in the repeater itself. However, remember the setup is extremely simple, as you only have to press both WPS buttons, the one on the repeater, and the one on your modem. -
Question:
I have a netgear 3000 dual ban ,will the 300 work rather than this one?
Answer: A 500 would work better but depending on your floor plan would determine what signal strength you actually need -
Question:
Is the ethernet output or input?
Answer: From installation guide page 13: Once the Extender is connected to your existing Wi-Fi network, you can use the Ethernet port on the Extender to connect a device wirelessly to your network. Simply plug the Ethernet cable from any Ethernet-enabled device (such as a connected TV, Blu-ray player, or gaming console) to the Ethernet port of the Extender, and enjoy wireless connectivity on the connected device.
