The axe head is lightweight which makes it easy to handle and it proves great energy saver. The 28" handle is easier handling and more accurate in hands. It also has an acceptable circumference, making it comfortable in use. However, it has issues with very twisty wood and is not intended as a chopping axe. Also, the little graphic on the head cover explicitly says not to hit the poll of the axe head with a sledgehammer, which makes it useless for logs of any size.
